Big Ten Pro Basketball Recap: Week of Feb. 2

While Northwestern has no basketball alums currently playing in the NBA, the Big Ten Conference has 30 alums playing for NBA Teams. Here’s how Big Ten basketball alums from four Big Ten schools are performing in the NBA and their best game this past week:

Game of the Week:

Game of the Week:
Humphries had 13 points on 3 of 5 shooting (7 of 8 FT), nine rebounds and one block in a 95-94 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers Jan. 29.

Shurna had 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting (5 of 9 3PT), four rebounds and one steal in a 93-72 win over La Bruixa d’Or Manresa Feb. 2. During his career at Northwestern, Shurna averaged 15.7 PPG (.466 FG%), 5.0 RPG, 2.3 APG, 1.0 BPG and 0.9 SPG. As a senior in 2012, Shurna was named to the All-Big Ten First Team by both the coaches and media. Coming out of high school, Shurna was a three-star recruit according to Rivals and was the No. 53 power forward according to ESPN.
