Northwestern Women’s Cross Country Head Coach April Likhite is in her ninth season at the helm of Wildcats’ program. She resurrected the program in her first stint with Northwestern from 1998 to 2001 and rejoined the team as head coach in 2007, continuing to take it to new heights. In 2011, Northwestern finished 8th in the Big Ten, its best finish since 2002, and 5th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. Ryan Holmes got a chance to sit down with her this week to talk building a program, spring season and the team’s future.
