Offensive Players
Zach Strief, Offensive Tackle, New Orleans Saints (Class of 2006): Inactive in a 27-30 loss to the New England Patriots due to an ankle injury.
Defensive Players
Corey Wootton, Defensive End, Chicago Bears (Class of 2010): One tackle (one solo), one tackle for a loss in a 27-21 win over the New York Giants.
Corbin Bryant, Defensive Tackle, Buffalo Bills (Class of 2010): One tackle (1 solo), one tackle for a loss in a 27-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Barry Cofield, Nose Tackle, Washington Redskins (Class of 2006): Starting Nose Tackle in a 31-16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys
Nick Roach, Linebacker, Oakland Raiders (Class of 2007): Eight tackles (eight solo), one tackle for a loss, one sack and one quarterback hit in a 24-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sherrick McManis, 27, Cornerback, Chicago Bears (Class of 2010): Served as a reserve cornerback in the Bears’ 27-21 win over the Giants.
Marquice Cole, Cornerback, New England Patriots (Class of 2007) The Patriots resigned Cole on Oct. 6. Two tackles in a 30-27 win over the Saints.
Northwestern NFL Player of the Week:
Nick Roach. Roach had eight tackles (eight solo tackles), one tackle for a loss, one sack and one quarterback hit in the Raiders 24-7 loss to the Chiefs Sunday. Roach now has 44 tackles (29 solo), one sack and one forced fumble on the year. Roach signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2007, but was cut and signed with the Bears, playing there till 2012. He signed a four-year contract with the Raiders as a free-agent last summer.
Northwestern also has three players on NFL practice squads:

Jordan Mabin, Cornerback, Atlanta Falcons (Class of 2012)
Jeremy Ebert, Wide Receiver, Jacksonville Jaguars (Class of 2012)
- Ebert was waived by the Jaguars on Oct. 6, and resigned him to the practice squad Tuesday.
Al Netter, Offensive Guard, San Francisco 49ers (Class of 2012)
- The Titans waived netter last Tuesday.
- Monday, Netter re-signed with the 49ers, where he signed as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2012 season.
