What a ride the last 24 hours have been. Starting with the SportsVoice at Bat 17 in Evanston last night to the final sign-off at 5:00 today, the amount of support we have seen has been overwhelming. Thanks to all of you for making the Third Annual WNUR Sportsathon such a delight for our entire staff. Whether you sent in your donation, tweeted @WNURSports, called into the shows, or simply clicked “Listen Now,” we truly appreciate all that each and every one of you has done for the station recently. We could not do this operation without you, and that fact is never more evident than this weekend. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We also want to extend a huge thanks to the entire WNUR 89.3 FM staff. You don’t need to sacrifice your air time for our benefit, yet you continue to do so because of your upstanding character. We hope that we can extend the same kindness to you in the near future.
