Safe to say, it was a pretty solid week of work for Kristen Wood.  Wood set her career high for strikeouts not once, but twice, during the series sweep of the Purdue Boilermakers this weekend.  On the year, Wood has a 9-3 record with a 3.31 ERA.  Wood’s 155 strikeouts this season puts her 4th in the conference.  WNUR sports will cover NU’s tussle with UIC this Wednesday at 4 PM.
