NU’s super-freshman has had, by all statistical measures, a ridiculous season.  In 11 games, Lasota has scored 42 goals and added 5 assists.  Lasota has double the goals of NU’s second leading scorer, Kara Mupo, has 25 more points than her closest Wildcat teammate Kaleigh Craig, and even leads the team in caused turnovers.  Lasota’s scoring is right up there among the best in the country, as her 3.82 goals per game clip ranks 4th in the nation. 3 Wildcats have won the award: Kristen Kjellman in 2006 and 2007, Hannah Nielsen in 2008 and 2009, and Shannon Smith in 2011.  Lasota and company will take to the field today at 6 PM CT against Rutgers, which you can catch on BTN Plus.
