Freshman Selena Lasota and sophomore Sheila Nesselbush were named to the inaugural women’s lacrosse All-Big Ten Team Wednesday.
Lasota, who was also named to the 25-member Tewaaraton Award nominee list, currently leads the Big Ten with 3.50 goals per game. Nesselbush is averaging 2.94 draw controls per game and was the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week in early February.
Senior goalkeeper Brooke Jones was also honored by the conference, earning the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for Northwestern. The Wildcats are back in action Thursday, when they will take on Michigan at 2 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the inaugural Big Ten Tournament.
