Northwestern picks up another three-star offensive lineman

Saturdays in the football world are not usually that exciting until the fall. For Pat Fitzgerald and the Wildcat coaching staff, that wasn’t the case this weekend.

BIG DAY for the #B1GCats

After landing Cameron Kolwich – a 3-star offensive guard – earlier Saturday, Northwestern got a commitment from 3-star offensive tackle Jesse Meyler.
Another big guy, Meyler stands at 6-foot-5 and 280 pounds. Meyler was considering NU against Wake Forest and UCONN, but he also held offers from Harvard, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin, among others.

Meyler becomes the fifth recruit in Pat Fitzgerald’s 2016 class and third offensive lineman. The Alexandria, VA native ranks just inside 247Sports’ top 100 offensive tackles.
