Northwestern will face the North Carolina Tar Heels in the 2015 B1G/ACC Challenge.

The Wildcats have faced the Tar Heels just once previously, losing 98-75 to a Top 5 ranked UNC team at home during the 1993-94 season.

This past year, the Tar Heels went 26-9, 10-6 in the ACC earning the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. In the NCAA tournament the Tar Heels made it to the Sweet Sixteen, beating the No. 5 seeded Ohio State Buckeyes on a buzzer-beater along the way, before losing the the No. 1 seeded South Carolina Gamecocks.
