3-star DT Alex Miller commits to Northwestern

Northwestern is grabbing commitments like they’re going out of style.

After grabbing wide receiver Ben Skowronek and offensive tackle Gunnar Vogel yesterday, NU has snagged its first defensive line prospect in the class of 2016, a 3-star DT Alex Miller.

Miller, listed at 6-3 270, hails from Houston Texas, a place that NU actually has done a pretty good job recruiting in the past.  Their second best defensive prospect in the 2015 class, inside linebacker Nathan Fox, comes from Houston and scat-back Auston Anderson and sack specialist Xavier Washington from the class of 2014 come from Plano and Cedar Hill respectively.

Miller held scholarship offers from a few power conference schools according to 247 Sports, including Kansas, Texas Tech, and most notably Utah.

Northwestern clearly has been focused on shoring up the trenches with this recruiting class and they’ve hit on another target.
