3-Star Superback Eric Eshoo commits to Northwestern

Northwestern landed the 14th member of its 2016 class Tuesday, earning a commit from superback Eric Eshoo. Louie Vaccher of Wildcat Report first reported the news about Eshoo, who chose the Wildcats over multiple schools including offers from Harvard, Nevada and Illinois.

Eshoo, the first superback of the 2016 recruiting class, adds depth and talent for the Wildcats on offense. Listed at 6-5, 225 pounds, Eshoo brings valuable size to NU’s passing attack. He will join a talented group of superbacks including Jayme Taylor and Garrett Dickerson. Rising senior Dan Vitale should also be a significant offensive contributor for the Wildcats this fall.
The 3-star product out of Loyola Academy received his offer from Northwestern only a week ago, and tweeted about a visit to Illinois only three days ago. You can view highlights from Eshoo’s junior season here.
