3-star linebacker Paddy Fisher commits to Northwestern.

Northwestern’s 2016 recruiting class picked up its 17th (!?!?!?!?!?) commit today as Paddy Fisher pledged his future to Pat Fitzgerald and company.

Fisher is a huge get for Northwestern.  Part of a trio from Katy, Texas (including Travis Whillock and Collin Wilder), Fisher might open the door for the other two to follow him to Evanston.  Northwestern is the only school to offer all three of the trio.

Fisher, listed at 6’2″ 225, held offers from Baylor, Wisconsin, and Houston among others.  He is the second linebacker commit after Jango Glackin, who also held a Wisconsin offer.

Northwestern’s recruiting class is just about full, but locking up Fisher, and maybe opening the door for 3-star safeties Whillock and and Wilder, is a big get for Northwestern.
