On the heels of a 38-0 loss in Ann Arbor, the Wildcats have fallen 7 spots in the AP poll, sitting at number 20.

The ‘Cats’ 7-spot drop is the second-biggest of the week, topped only by Oklahoma’s 9-spot fall from 10 to 19.

Northwestern is the lowest-ranked of five Big Ten teams in the poll: Ohio State remains number one, Michigan State falls to seven, Michigan is up six spots to 12, and Iowa is up five spots to 17. The ‘Cats host the Hawkeyes Saturday in Evanston.

Two teams Northwestern beat earlier this season are in the poll as well: Stanford sits at number 15, while Duke slides in at number 25. The Blue Devils and Cardinal are a combined 9-0 this year against anyone who’s not Northwestern.
