Per the Daily Northwestern, freshman linebacker Tommy Vitale, brother of superback Dan, is likely to be shut down for the year with an unspecified injury:

Vitale saw snaps both on special teams and occasionally on offense as a fullback.  At this point in the season, it is unlikely that Vitale will receive a medical redshirt.

The true freshmen was one of five true freshmen (along with Jordan Thompson, Montre Hartage, Flynn Nagel, Jelani Roberts) who saw playing time this year.
