The first CFP rankings of the year have the Northwestern Wildcats inside the top 25.  While Northwestern suffered massive losses against Michigan and Iowa, wins over very good teams in Duke and Stanford, who place 11th in the CFP rankings, boost Northwestern’s national profile.  After being unranked in the AP and Coaches Poll, this may come as a surprise to some, but NU’s CFP resume is about as good as a two loss team can be.
