After a much-needed bye week, Northwestern’s bowl prospects haven’t changed much, but definitely have been improving considering how dire they were after the losing streak. This Saturday’s home game against the 7-2 Penn State Nittany Lions could go a far way in pushing the Wildcats from the middle-tier of Big Ten bowls to the upper level of them.
Here’s a look at where some national college football analysts think the Wildcats are headed in the 2015 postseason:
Brett McMurphy: Foster Farms Bowl vs. Oregon; Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA; Dec. 26
Mark Schlabach: TaxSlayer Bowl vs. Auburn; EverBank Field, Jacksonville, FL; Jan. 2
Jerry Palm: Outback Bowl vs. Texas A&M; Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL; Jan. 1
Jason Kirk: Outback Bowl vs. Tennessee; Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL; Jan. 1
Bryan Fischer: Holiday Bowl vs. UCLA; Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA; Dec. 30
Bill Bender: Foster Farms Bowl vs. Washington State; Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA; Dec. 26
