It wasn’t pretty, but Northwestern’s win on Saturday over Penn State was a big boon for the Wildcats’ bowl expectations. Now, sititng at 7-2 with three very winnable games left on the schedule, Northwestern can continue to dream about a New Years’ Six bowl or, at the least, one of the better second-tier bowls.
