Anthony Walker named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

For the third time this season Anthony Walker Jr. was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. Walker had 14 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss and one sack against Illinois on Sunday.

It’s the sixth game this season that Walker has finished with 10 or more tackles. On the season Walker has 113 tackles and 19.5 tackles for a loss – the third most tackles for a loss in Northwestern history.
It’s also the second straight week a Wildcat claimed the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week award, last week Deonte Gibson was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after his performance against Wisconsin.
