Northwestern football isn’t the only Wildcat squad making noise in the national polls. Northwestern women’s basketball moved up four spots to 15th in the AP media poll this week.

The Wildcats went 3-0 this past week, winning every one of their games at the Lone Star Showcase. NU crept past Eastern Washington 74-70, clobbered Creighton 75-52 and then secured the tournament title by coming back to beat East Carolina 78-75.

Still perfect at 6-0, Northwestern hits the road again this week for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Wildcats play at North Carolina at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday. Live coverage of NU’s matchup with the Tar Heels will kick off on WNUR at 4:45 p.m.
