Joey Calistri to sign homegrown deal with MLS’s Chicago Fire

According to NUSports.com, Northwestern soccer star Joey Calistri has signed a homegrown contract with the local Chicago Fire. Calistri finished his Northwestern career second all-time in goals with 30 while also tallying 14 assists during his 4-year career.
This is the third straight year where a Northwestern player has signed with an MLS franchise as Calistri follows Chris Ritter, who signed in 2013 with the Fire, and Tyler Miller, who signed last year with the Seattle Sounders.
Calistri is the 7th homegrown player to come out of Northwestern.
