Shane Davis named new Northwestern volleyball head coach

According to a release from the Northwestern athletic department, Shane Davis will be taking over as the new head coach of the Northwestern volleyball team.

Davis brings with him an impressive resume.  As head coach of the men’s program of Loyola University in Chicago, he tallied a career record of 265-88, including back-back-back national championships in 2014 and 2015.

In a statement, athletic director Jim Phillips said “Shane Davis is unquestionably one of the top coaches in the nation, in any sport, and we are thrilled to welcome him, along with Andrea, Sydney and Jordyn to the Northwestern family.”

Northwestern volleyball went 14-17 this year in former head coach Keylor Chan’s final season.
