 This actually is shocking.

You could have very easily made a case for both of these players to be among the 20 best players in the Big Ten.  Instead, both will have to settle for honorable mention awards.

Maggie Lyon, who finished 15th in the conference in scoring and 7th in minutes played, was named to both the media and coaches Honorable Mention All-B1G team, the 4th such award of her career.

Ashley Deary won the Defensive Player of the Year award but did not earn 2nd Team honors.  She was selected on the media’s Honorable Mention squad.

The 4th member of Northwestern’s “Core Four,” Christen Inman, did not receive any All-B1G recognition despite averaging 15 points per game.
