Vitale is the first Northwestern superback selected in the Draft since the Buccaneers drafted Drake Dunsmore in the seventh round of the 2012 Draft.
ESPN’s Mel, Kiper, Jr. compared Vitale to Ravens tight end (and Harvard graduate) Kyle Juszczyk during ESPN’s draft coverage.
Vitale contributed 135 receptions as a Wildcat and 11 touchdowns, including two against Ball State in 2015 and the game-winning score against Nebraska in 2015.
Jason Licht says Dan Vitale is a tough Chicago kid, smart, very good pass-catcher.
