Northwestern softball has been selected to the 2016 NCAA Softball Tournament. The team will travel to Athens, Georgia for the Georgia regional, which starts this Friday.

The third-seeded ‘Cats, widely regarded as a bubble team, will face the second-seeded Oklahoma State Cowgirls in their first game Friday at 12 p.m. 

Maine, the America East conference champion, is the number four seed in the region.
