No Northwestern Wildcats were selected in the 2016 NBA Draft, but one key performer from last year’s squad has found a home for the NBA Summer League season.

The Wildcats and the Pelicans have an important connection, as New Orleans GM Dell Demps is the father of former Wildcat Tre Demps. Olah will get to show his longtime teammate’s father, and the rest of the NBA, his potential during the Summer League.
In addition to Olah, the Pelicans drafted Kansas center Cheick Diallo in the second round and have centers Omer Asik and Alex Ajinca under contract for the 2016-2017 season.
Alex joined us for an episode of “The Sports Voice” during spring quarter, where he talked about the highlights of his Wildcat career and his future plans.
