‘Cats Classics: Kevin Fishbain joins Host Pat Timlin to disclose all things related to Northwestern’s “Instant Classic” against Michigan in 2000. The ‘Cats offense was powered by RB Damien Anderson on their route to a 54-51 victory, with the thriller considered to be the most important game in the history of the run heavy spread offense. Eric Rynston-Lobel and Michael Barthelemy join the crew to ask Kevin, who completed an oral history for the Athletic on the game (as well as attended the game as a 12 year old), about Anderson’s wide open drop, a fourth string punter turned safety, and the behind the scenes of a writing an oral history.
