Lindsey pulliam Drafted by the atlanta dream

Northwestern women’s basketball star Lindsey Pulliam was drafted by the Atlanta Dream tonight. Pulliam was the 27th overall pick in the third round of the WNBA draft.

After her final season with Northwestern this year, Pulliam chose to forego the NCAA granted extra year of eligibility for winter athletes. She declared for the WNBA draft Apr. 1.

Pulliam excelled throughout her career with the ‘Cats, consistently proving to be one of the Big Ten and the country’s best players. In her junior year, she was unanimously selected to the All-Big Ten first-team and earned an AP All American Honorable Mention.

She averaged 16 points per game in her final season, and in March, she led Northwestern to its first NCAA Tournament win in 28 years with a stellar 25-point showing.

Pulliam will surely be a force on the court for the Dream, who also scored No. 3 pick Aari McDonald from Arizona. New talent from these NCAA players will be a fantastic addition for the Dream, who haven’t been to the WNBA playoffs since 2018.
