Shauna Green Named Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

Former Dayton Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach Shauna Green was added to the Northwestern Women’s Basketball staff, replacing former Assistant Coach Allison Guth, who left the Wildcats to become the head coach at Yale.

Green served as an assistant coach for the Flyers for the past three seasons. Last season, the Flyers made their sixth-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and their first Regional Final. Last year, Dayton finished 28-7, tying the Flyers’ 2012-13 season for most wins in Dayton’s modern, Division I era.

“I am really excited to have Shauna join our staff,” said Head Coach Joe McKeown via Northwestern’s press release. “She brings great experience and energy to Northwestern, and she really cares about the student-athletes. We look forward to welcoming her and her family into our program.”

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Northwestern basketball family,” Green said via Northwestern’s press release. “I am very grateful to Coach McKeown for giving me this wonderful opportunity to coach at such a prestigious academic institution while competing in one of the best basketball conferences in the country. I could not be more excited to join this great staff and get to work.”

Green has also served as the assistant coach at Providence and the head coach at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.
