Trevor Siemian makes the Broncos 53-man roster

Former Northwestern quarterback Trevor Siemian made the Denver Broncos initial 53-man roster, surviving cuts after being selected in the 7th round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Siemian, just nine months removed from ACL surgery, beat out former Denver QB Zac Dysert to win the third-string quarterback job. Siemian will back up Broncos QBs Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler.

In the NFL Preseason, Siemian played in three of the four Broncos games, completing 23 of his 40 pass attempts (57.5 completion percentage) for 283 yards and 2 touchdowns. Siemian also threw one interception and was sacked four times.
