Sportsathon ‘CatChat: Ben Adler

The WNUR Sports ‘CatChat series is back for the fifth annual Sportsathon! In these interviews, we’ll talk to WNUR Sports alumni about their time at the station, awesome moments as a Northwestern student and their experience in the professional world. You can learn more about Sportsathon here.

Ben Adler graduated from the Medill School of Journalism in 2003. He was heavily involved in WNUR Sports, producing the SportsVoice, becoming Sports Director, and even serving on WNUR’s general exec board. While still a baseball fanatic, Ben decided to use his radio skills built from WNUR and enter the other side of radio, political public radio, and is now the Capital Bureau Chief at Capital Public Radio in California. Sportsathon Director Nick Scoliard talked with Ben about his time at WNUR and choosing to go politics over sports for his career.
