Alex Olah “out indefinitely” with a foot injury, Pardon’s redshirt to be burned

This is crushing news for Northwestern.

While we hate to speculate about the severity of injuries we aren’t privy to, the fact that Dererk Pardon is getting his redshirt burned is a very worrying sign.

With Olah out, expect Joey Van Zegeren to see a huge uptick in minutes and Gavin Skelly to see more time at the 5.  People in the program are high on Pardon’s ceiling, and the fact that Chris Collins and staff had planned to keep him in the program for 5 years is evidence of that, but it is still unclear how ready he is to play this season.

Alex Olah was third on the team in scoring with 13 points per game, and first in rebounding with 6.5 boards per contest.
